Card and PIN Security

Fraud may be perpetrated against paper scratch cards during their life cycle in a number of different ways, including external, internal, dealer or supplier fraud. For this reason, Telcom Printing has set up a secure process for the entire life cycle of the prepaid scratch cards. Production is divided into generation of the secret PIN codes, transmission of PIN to the card personalization center, scratch card personalization, printing and packaging of the cards. Risks may occur during all these stages, which is why security is present in every step of the way, irrespective of whichever product is chosen. The entire manufacturing process is based on in-line card production that ensures maximum security.

Production

At the production stage, a monitored access to facilities with permanent security guards, camera surveillance and Electronic Access Control system enable to tackle fraud. In addition, the authorization system operates with security access badges and card readers.

Generation and Transmission of PIN Codes

Once the PIN codes are generated, they must be kept secret and secured at source. We ensure non-repudiation, integrity and authenticity of secret PIN codes via encryption.

Personalization and Printing

Telcom Printing also offers additional security features when printing secret codes including printing options (UV ink, thermo ink, micro-text, or anti-photocopier varnish), secure panels, application of the scratch panel right after the printing, inkjet printing. Above all, Packaging. Finally, security is also present at the packaging stage. Package design plays a critical role in preventing fraud. Our packaging process goes through individual wrapping to security sealed inner and outer boxes.
